Vehbi Koç Vakfı Kültür Projeleri Haberler Vehbi̇ Koç Foundation Cultural Projects News VKV Çağdaş Sanat Müzesi Çağdaş Sanat Müzesi İçin Hedef 2017 ■■ Vehbi Koç Vakfı’nın geleceğe yönelik en önemli kültür-sanat projesi olan çağdaş sanat müzesi projesi hem kent merkezinde kolayca ulaşılabilecek bir kültür odağı hem de bir eğitim ve nitelikli vakit geçirme alanı olarak kurgulanıyor. Müze, Vehbi Koç Vakfı Çağdaş Sanat Koleksiyonu’nun yanı sıra, yıl boyunca süreli çağdaş sanat sergilerine ev sahipliği yapacak. ■■ İstanbul’un Dolapdere semtinde 20 bin metrekareye yaklaşan inşaat alanına sahip olan 7 katlı binada sabit ve süreli sergi alanları, bir heykel terası, performans alanları, interaktif diyalog merkezleri, konferans/toplantı/etkinlik salonları, kütüphane, konservasyon laboratuvarı, depolar, bir sanat kitapçısı ve yiyecek/içecek hizmet alanı bulunacak. Müzenin tasarımı Grimshaw Architects (İngiltere) tarafından yapıldı; uygulama projeleri ise Turgut Alton Mimarlık tarafından gerçekleştirildi. 2015 yılında inşaatına başlanması planlanan müzenin 2017 yılı içerisinde açılması hedefleniyor. Çağdaş sanat müzesi projesinin kurucu direktörlüğünü Vehbi Koç Vakfı Kültür Sanat Danışmanı Melih Fereli üstleniyor. ■

VKF Contemporary Art Museum ■■ The most important future art project of the Vehbi Koç Foundation concerns the establishment of a contemporary art museum. Located close to Istanbul’s city centre, the museum is conceptualized both as a cultural and educational hub, and a quality recreation area. The new museum will house the Vehbi Koç Foundation Contemporary Art Collection as well as featuring temporary exhibitions throughout the year. ■■ The building in Istanbul’s Dolapdere district will have a covered area of 20,000 square metres and hold, besides permanent and temporary exhibitions, a sculpture terrace, performance spaces, interactive dialogue centres, conference/meeting/activity rooms, a library, a conservation laboratory, storage facilities, an art book store, as well as service areas for dining and refreshments. The building’s architectural design was executed by Grimshaw Architects (UK). Its construction will begin in 2015, and is scheduled to be completed in 2017. Melih Fereli, Culture and Arts Advisor of the Vehbi Koç Foundation, is also the Founding Director of the contemporary art museum. ■
