HONEY We were pleased to hear that honey taking is to be left to "individual conscience". Its the only sensible way when there is no clear agreement among members. Most vegans will not want to buy it when they find out how the bees are treated, but if we knoMthe bee-keeper is good that is a different matter. Making a fuss about honey humanely produced gives us a precious, dogmatic image and puts off the people we need to help us get rid of slaughter houses and veal units. Let's think about the thousands of animals who suffer so horribly. Let's keep a sense of prop< ortion. Let's keep as many people as possible with us showing that veganism is a healthy sensible way of life. Let's get them active against dairy products and vivisection. ^ M&C Williams 36
