What is Female Infertility

Female infertility refers to the inability of a woman to conceive a pregnancy after trying for a certain period of time, typically one year of unprotected intercourse. Female infertility can be caused by a variety of factors, such as hormonal imbalances, ovulation disorders, fallopian tube blockages, uterine abnormalities, and age-related decline in fertility. It can also be related to lifestyle factors, such as smoking, alcohol use, and being overweight or underweight.Treatment for female infertility depends on the underlying cause and may include medications to regulate ovulation, surgery to correct structural abnormalities, or assisted reproductive technologies such as in vitro fertilization (IVF).
