STRENGTH & CONDITIONING: Varsity Blues athletes have access to: • World-class strength and conditioning facilities at the brand new Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport. • Additional access to strength and conditioning facilities at the Athletic Centre.

SPORTS MEDICINE: Varsity Blues athletes have priority access to sports medicine services in season, including: • Sports medicine physicians. • Concussion laboratory and specialists. • Various treatment alternatives including physiotherapists, athletic therapists and massage therapists.

STUDENT-ATHLETE SERVICES ACADEMIC SUPPORT: The University of Toronto offers a variety of services to help students reach their full potential. Services include: • The Academic Success Centre to develop skills in time management, exam preparation, textbook reading, note-taking, and dealing with anxiety and procrastination. • The University of Toronto Peer Tutoring Club provides free tutoring sessions with qualified student volunteers. • Workshops are available at U of T libraries to develop research, writing and math skills, as well as provide English language support.


AWARDS AND ACCOLADES ACADEMIC SUCCESS: Over the last five years, the University of Toronto has recognized 949 student-athletes for their achievements of maintaining an honours standing (A average) over an academic year. This constitutes roughly 22.5% of the total Varsity Blues population earning all-academic status. OUA TOP SCHOLAR ATHLETES: 2014-15: Sarah Dunning, Golf; Tanner Young-Schultz, Baseball 2013-14: Breanna Gadzosa, Water Polo; Zain Manji, Tennis 2012-13: Sarah Dunning, Golf; Tomasz Blazejewski, Fencing 2011-12: Bethany So, Badminton; Jamie Lekas, Baseball ATHLETIC SUCCESS: Over the last five years, the University of Toronto has claimed 31 provincial and four national championship titles. 404 University of Toronto students have competed at the Olympic Games since 1900, and most recently, 21 U of T students and alumni represented Canada at the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto.

THE ATHLETIC CENTRE AT U OF T: • Squash courts, fencing salle and wrestling mats for training. • Plenty of gym space for badminton, indoor tennis, basketball, and much more! • A 50-metre Olympic-sized swimming pool with 2.3m-4.2m depth. • A 57,000 sq. foot field house multi-sport area with a 200-metre track.

BACK CAMPUS FIELDS: • Played host to the 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games. • Two global class-1 fields for field hockey and lacrosse teams to train.


VARSITY CENTRE BOASTS: • A world-class artificial turf field. • A 5,000-seat stadium to cheer on the Blues! • A 400m, eight-lane outdoor track.

• An air-supported dome that covers the entire field during the winter months, expanding practice times for Blues athletes. • Varsity Arena, home of figure skating and hockey.

THE NEW GOLDRING CENTRE FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE SPORT OFFERS: • A state-of-the-art strength and conditioning centre which includes: Bluetooth evaluation technology, a speed + power centre equipped with force plates to allow for more precise training, Versa climbers and more! • Our state-of-the-art David L. MacIntosh sports medicine clinic runs the entire length of the fourth floor of the Goldring Centre. We have 6 sports medicine doctors, 3 sport medicine fellows, two orthopaedic surgeons and a dedicated group of therapists working hard to ensure quality care year-round.
