L E T U S BE C A R E F U L It seems r a t h e r inconsistant t o say least t h a t a very good play should be marred by the language used in some parts. We must remember t h a t we are being watched by outsiders and people who are giving aid f o r the support of a Christian institution. Should they listen to a play in which language is used t h a t they object t o and be sent away disappointed? There have been complaints f r o m several people of a nearby city and the remark was given, " I thought this a Christian college." Such statements do a g r e a t deal of harm and we should be more careful t h a t they may not be heard again. Let us retain the standards t h a t our f a t h e r s have set and not use language t h a t will h u r t their record. P. J . K., '25.

Sorosis entertained Forest Grove jJ, with a program F r i d a y night. They went a la auto. The Dorians hied themselves to the beach in the a f t e r noon. PREP PERSONALS We are indeed happy to welcome back to the classroom our schoolmate, Ted Giebink, who has been absent several weeks because of an operation f o r appendicitis.
In a close and exciting g a m e Friday afternoon the F r e s h m e n defeated the Prep team by a 5 to 3 score. In the first f e w innings our players took a three point lead while they h e l d , t h e i r opponents scoreless until the f o u r t h , when the Frosh secured their first tally. In the fifth they added two more, t y i n g the game, 3 to 3. No scoring was done then until the eighth when the f r e s h m e n added two more. In the ninth our team started a rally and succeeded in g e t t i n g the bases full with only one out, but the next two b a t t e r s fanned and the game was lost. However we feel t h a t our team has done credit to the Prep Dep't.

At a delightful little tea p a r t y held in their honor by Mrs. Walvoord last Thursday afternoon. Miss Magdalene De Young and Mr. William Zoerner announced their engagement. Not t h a t we didn't know it,—rumor was too evidently well founded. But Thursday it was set down in black in black and white. The guests amused the happy couple by cutting silhouette pictures: the feirls, of Bill; and the fellows, of Midge. Pictures, they were, t h a t foretold many a marital experience of bliss or misery. A f t e r delicious refreshments, W i 11 a r d Bloemendahl s a n g a few love songs while Midge sighed and Bill looked f a r away. Many happy returns of the day, folks.
