ONCERNED P e o p l e s Democratic Party, PDP, Women for Lucky Ayomanor has promised to deliver Chief Lucky Ayomanor as Delta State House of Assembly candidate for Sapele Local Government Area. The group made this known during a solidarity march in Sapele, with placards bearing different inscriptions such as “Say No to Third Tenure,” “Ayomanor has done it for us before, we want him in a big office,” “Ayomanor is our choice,” “Sapele must grow, we need fresh air.” Leader of the group, Mrs. Joma Obule, who spoke during the solidarity march, said the women had been playing politics and mobilizing for PDP’s victory at all levels in Sapele council and would still repeat same for Ayomanor. She said: “Our efforts during electioneering campaigns to ensure the party emerges victorious have not been of benefit to us. “Immediately after elections, the elected and appointed political leaders become elusive and any attempt to reach them becomes a mirage.” She, however, noted that the only politician in Sapele council that was accessible is Chief Lucky Ayomanor. “Ayomanor has made us understand the content and meaning of democracy through his e m p o w e r m e n t programmes as DLA Director, Delta Central,” she added.
