ARRI — WARRI F e d e r a l Constituency Women, WFCW, a pressure group in Delta State, has called on Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, delegates to vote for Mr. Daniel Reyenieju, House of Representatives member representing Warri Federal Constituency, to represent the party again in the next general elections. Making the call in Warri, President, WFCW, Mrs. Esther Okotie-Eboh, said Reyenieju had done so much in the constituency in his short stay in the House, calling on the people of the constituency to emulate “our Ijaw neighbours, who are already planning the return of Mr. Nicholas Mutu for the fifth time.” She explained that “the young lawmaker is intelligent, a good negotiator and bridge builder; qualities needed to succeed in the House.”

ENIN—THE outgoing Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, UNIBEN, Professor Osayuki Oshodin, has said no fewer than 4,000 persons were employed by his administration in the past five years. Okolugbo commends Uduaghan on electoral college

HE Commissioner representing Ndokwa on the board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Sir Ken Okolugbo, has commended Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan for the participation of leaders in the 25 local government areas of the state in the election of the three delegates per ward for an electoral college. Okolugbo, who described the process as democratic, said the governor’s approach was a welcome development at a time other states were battling candidates' imposition. He said: “It is most unfair to criticise the governor, when he has ensured the freest election in the history of electing delegates for Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s electoral college.”

Community assures FG of cooperation on NIMASA college

HAIRMAN, Okoloba community in Delta State, Mr. Ojobo-Owei Feh, has reassured the Federal Government of the community ’s determination to sustain the peaceful co-existence between the management of NIMASA Science and Technical College and contractors handling various projects at the permanent site. Speaking to newsmen at Okoloba, Feh said the community was committed to the project, and would do everything within its powers to support the government to see that the college achieved its objectives. He said the only way to appreciate and thank government was for all the sons and daughters of the community to collectively and individually create a conducive environment for peace and tranquillity, so the contractors could complete the project.
