EAUTIFUL and much sought-after Yoruba actress, Laide Bakare, hasn’t been circulating much on the movie-making scene not because scripts were not coming her way but because the actress turned director has been keeping busy in opening another chapter in her life. That chapter has seen her foraying deeper into movie directing and sticking out a foot in the warm water of the music industry as she is set to officially launch her own record label. Laide confirmed to EDaily that she has been wrestling with destiny to fulfil her dreams. Only recently she finished her pursuit of a training in film-making from New York Film Academy and has gone a step up to repackage her production company, Frontrow International to a new name to be known as Simline International. According to the fair-skinned beau, part of the portfolio of the new company will be to run as a record label company. This may very much explain the romance between the actress and 9ice whom she also got to feature as a principal character in her latest movie “Jejere” alongside top names like Emeka Ike, Fathia Balogun, Akin Lewis, Ireti Osayemi, Tola Oladokun, Afeez Eniola, Toyin Adegbola, Segun Ogungbe among others.
