(Disneyland, 1955) Unusual 22 x 17 in. promotional poster displayed in stores outside Disneyland as part of Chicken of The Sea’s cross-marketing with the park. Framed size is 29 x 24 in. In very good condition with light wear. Unexamined out of frame. $500-$600

583. CHICKEN OF THE SEA PIRATE PARTY KIT. (Disneyland, 1956) This rare mail-away party kit was a premium offered by the Chicken of the Sea tuna company, sponsors of the Fantasyland Chicken of the Sea Pirate Ship Restaurant in the park. The unused pack contains illustrated party items such as: invitations, napkins, placemats, paper hats, etc., all with the pirate theme of the restaurant. A wonderful example of the cross-promotion between Disneyland and its’ sponsors. Overall in very good condition with original 11.25 x 14.5 in. mailing envelope. $200-$400

582. CHICKEN OF THE SEA PIRATE SHIP RESTAURANT BARREL SEAT. (Disneyland, 1961) Rare original barrel style seat from the Chicken Of The Sea Pirate Ship Restaurant. Designed by Imagineer Herb Ryman, the dining area for the restaurant was “pirate-themed” with ship oars, sails, lanterns, and these powder keg stools. The stool stands 19 in. tall. In very good condition with expected wear. $2,000-$4,000

584. CHICKEN OF THE SEA PIRATE SHIP RESTAURANT FOOD TRAY. (Disneyland, 1957) An incredibly rare piece of memorabilia from the famous, Chicken of the Sea Pirate Ship Restaurant in Fantasyland. This 8.75 x 11.75 x .75 in. spun fiberglass food tray features an excellent image of the restaurant was used to carry your seafood themed lunch from the galley of “Capt. Hook’s” ship to one of many nearby shipwrecked theme picnic dining areas around the “Skull Rock Lagoon”. In very good condition overall with minor wear. $800-$900

585. CHICKEN OF THE SEA PIRATE SHIP RESTAURANT FOOD TRAY LINER. (Disneyland, 1957) An unusual, and understandably extremely rare food tray liner from the Chicken of the Sea Pirate Ship Restaurant in Fantasyland. This 7.75 x 12 in. paper placemat would line a food tray used to carry their meals to the nearby “Skull Rock Lagoon” and its shipwrecked theme picnic area. Normally thrown away after the meal, this particular one was saved as a souvenir, complete with creasing and staining from what was sure to have been a tasty tuna treat. Also included is a paper napkin from the restaurant. $50-$100
