The Story of Disneyland
331. Adventureland Big Game Shoot attraction ticket sign. (Disneyland, 1960) Fantatstic hand-painted and silkscreened wooden sign that flanked the sides of the attraction. One of three shooting galleries in the park, the Big Game Shoot was a hunting themed shooting gallery that used air driven pellet guns to shoot at steel targets in the shapes of different game animals, tikis and jungle natives. Nightly, these targets required a costly repainting to keep in line with Disneyland’s quality control standards. Featuring the park denomination of a”C” ticket or 25¢ cash paid to the cast member host. The beautiful graphics feature a stylized lion strikingly similar to Disney’s Lion King stage musical graphics. Only a handful of these were ever made and they are truly rare. The sign measures 20.5 x 15.5 in. In very good condition overall with light wear. $3,000 -$5,000
