Souvenirs Of Disneyland

Rocket to the Moon One of the most iconic early Disneyland features was the large TWA Rocket from the “Rocket to the Moon” attraction in Tomorrowland. The attraction opened in 1955, and went through a few different sponsors and paint-designs over its life at the park, including a refurbishment in 1967 as “Flight to the Moon”. Created prior to the actual 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing, the attraction quickly became outdated, leading way to the “Mission to Mars” themechange in 1975. The attraction closed in 1992, but many still remember the larger-than-life rocket and the excitement it brought to the early days of the park.
