Chicken of the Sea Pirate Ship Restaurant One of the more unique dining locations to come to the park, the “Chicken of the Sea Pirate Ship Restaurant”, sponsored by Chicken of the Sea, served up several tuna-based dishes at the counter below the deck. The Restaurant was a guest favorite, and when Chicken of the Sea and Disneyland ended their partnership in the late 1960s, the Restaurant continued to sell tuna-based dishes for over a decade more, but under the name “Captain Hook’s Galley”. During the “New Fantasyland” renovations in the early 1980s, the Restaurant was planned to be relocated, but the wood and concrete Pirate Ship would not be able to withstand the move. As such, “Captain Hook’s Galley” was dismantled in 1982, but early souvenirs from the Pirate Ship Restaurant help remind collectors of this one-of-a-kind Disneyland dining experience.
