719 717. Randotti Haunted Mansion Tombstone Prototype. (Disneyland, 1969) Extremely rare Randotti prototype for the famous “Haunted Mansion” style tombstones. This prototype was designed to sell the product idea to Disneyland Management. Disney loved the idea, and the tombstones were given the green light for production. While this tombstone is blank, a variety of humorous quotes were added below the bat-shaped blank space for the final versions. This prototype is also slightly larger than the final versions which ended up selling within the park. After the opening of Walt Disney World in 1971, another series of tombstones was designed, with “Walt Disney World” replacing “Disneyland” along the bottom. Measures 4.5”x0.75” and 8.25” tall. In very fine condition. $700-$900 718. Randotti Haunted Mansion Tombstone “Ghost Number 1000”. (Disneyland, 1969) Randotti tombstone with bat-shaped blank space for name personalization.
