Lot 14. Bono’s U2 Tour-Played Custom Gibson ES-175. Bono’s 1990s custom-painted Gibson ES-175D electric guitar used extensively during many U2 performances. Bono played this guitar on the 1992-93 Zoo TV Tour during performances of the songs “The Fly” and “Angel of Harlem” from U2’s nightly set list. The instrument was custom painted to Bono’s specifications by the Gibson Custom Shop, with a subtle glitter effect incorporated into the sleek black finish. Bono has also personally added a decal to the body reading, “I Feel Good.” The guitar exhibits moderate scuffs and scratches throughout from use, with some tarnish and surface wear to the metal components. A strap and a TKL hard shell case are included. The case has tape applied with details on the guitar listed, as used by Bono’s team.
