This informative two-day conference focused on promoting health and safety in the maritime workplace, and it set a new attendance record for the association.

One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of the prestigious Person of the Year Award to Roger Giesinger, the president emeritus of the Hampton Roads Shipping Association. Giesinger was honored for his remarkable dedication to NMSA and his exceptional leadership roles throughout the years. His invaluable contributions have had a profound impact on the industry and have helped shape the safety standards and practices that maritime professionals adhere to.
