We are so excited you’re here and officially part of the Valparaiso University community! As you kick off this next chapter, Welcome Week is your chance to dive into everything that makes Valpo special. Our vibrant campus life, long-standing traditions, involvement opportunities, and the incredible people who make this place feel like home.
This week’s schedule is packed with events designed to help you settle in, find your way around campus, and start forming meaningful connections. From learning our shared values to discovering new passions, Welcome Week is all about helping you feel confident, connected, and ready to thrive.
You will also participate in a few required sessions that focus on creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive campus environment, one where every student can succeed. Be sure to bring your OneCard (your Valpo student ID card) to these programs as attendance will be recorded to support your full participation.
If you have any questions or need anything along the way, the Division of Student Life is here for you. We’re your cheerleaders, your guides, and your support system as you begin this exciting journey.

DANCE ENSEMBLE AUDITIONS
The Department of Music welcomes students interested in stage performance to audition for its annual dance concert. The show is choreographed and directed by Valpo students and faculty, and auditions are open to Valparaiso University students of all experience levels. Rehearsals take place for one to two hours per week during the fall semester, in preparation for four performances in February 2026 on the University Theatre stage.
