Energy Assistance The Energy Assistance Program has worked diligently throughout this time to ensure that every household could still get their needs met in a timely and efficient manner. With the elimination of in-person contact, a new, simplified process was implemented, including the installation of drop boxes for documents at both the Chicopee and Holyoke locations, and all intakes were done by phone. Milagros (Millie) Claudio and Myrna Martinez, staff members on the Fuel Assistance team, asked participants for feedback on the Fuel Assistance Program. Below is one perspective.

Mr. Xenophon Beake: “I have been with the program for four years and it has been great. The service has been ideal, [my] caseworker is very informative, friendly and cordial. I have had absolutely no difficulties from day one. Even though it was difficult to realize I needed the assistance because of my financial situation after the passing of my beautiful wife Fran, I was treated with respect and dignity.”
