Annual Sports Meet at JV
Jawahar Vidyalaya Senior Secondary School, Ashok Nagar conducted its 37th Annual Sports Meet on January 25 at the Police Training College. The programme kick-started with flag hoisting and lighting of the torch. Students competed in different events under four houses, namely - Indira, Nehru Sarojini and Tagore houses. Sarojini House
won the overall championship. D.V.Sundar, honorary secretary, All India Chess Federation presided over the function. He said that sport is an area, which over' looks the criterias such as caste, creed and colour. Sport is all about champions and people respect and look upto them as champions and nothing else.
