BGAV EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR REPORT INTRODUCES NEW MINISTRIES In this second year of pivoting and adjusting plans because of the Covid-19 pandemic, John Upton presented his annual Executive Director’s report in a video format aired during the 2021 Annual Meeting gathering on Tuesday evening, November 9. His overall message was one of hope—highlighting the new opportunities in missions and ministry made possible by the faithfulness of BGAV’s participating churches and the leadership and perseverance of the Executive Board and staff as they followed God’s call. Despite the challenges and changes of the past year, Upton asserted that BGAV has not been idle. He highlighted several ministries that have taken shape over the past year and will continue to develop in 2022 and beyond. Two of those—Food for the Hungry (Nicaragua partnership) and AXIS (a training and resource network) are featured on pages 18–20 of this magazine.
