PROJECT OVERVIEW

This Bus Terminal is used for traveling to the south of Thailand.

I aimed to upgrade both the appearance and functionality of the terminal.

It contains 3 main functions: shopping and delivery service, transportation and admin office. I used zones to seperate different types of users, making it easy for the staff to service them.

Due to the building setback, I turned the unused space in front of the building into a public plaza.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Prof. Nophadonchat Pattanaphong Advisor : Project Area : 20,000 sq.m.

I redesigned the old Tanghuasaeng to a new mall that focuses on the community around the mall. So, I transformed the mall into a shopping park, merging function with green space.

This diagram shows how nodes formed. I used these to inform the appropiate location for the entrance.

Every level has green areas, which simulate the experience of walking in the park. I value users’ and building owner’s happiness.

This building also saves costs and energy by using an air ventilation corridor.

Silom Iconic will be located at the center of Bangkok, surrounded by a luxurious community and high-end offices. This mixed-use project will serve as a one-stop destination for urban users.

MERGE FUNCTION WITH GREEN SPACE CREATE SENSE OF COMMUNITY AVOID STACKING CONNECT URBAN NODES BY TRANSITION SPACE

FLOOR 1

I give importance to transition space; the mall has semi-outdoor space for restaurants and courts that group up to serve nightlife users.

The office has an outdoor co-working space and an outdoor event space.

The residence corridor allows natural air to ventilate the building.

The green courts are blended in with the shared facilities area.

The rooftop part, penthouse and double floor rooms have green spaces merged in to create a relaxing atmosphere for customers.

Sections show the volume of the space that affect to the quality.The mall’s ceiling is 6 meters high spacing for structure, air condition,fire suppression system and electrical system atleast 1 meter.

This mix use has 2 cores (pack of passenger’s lift, service lift and fire exit) for serving 2 main users are office workers and residents. Including parking is seperating zones for these 2 users too.

The double volume is designed into Modern-Loft by using steel and grey tone, making users feel enthusiastic.

The penthouse is designed with traditional style using wood and warm-colored furniture. The user would feel cozy because the ceiling is not too high.

The showroom is built with long span steel structure, using castellated beams so that it can facilitate electrical wiring and maintenance. The wall is easy to build and renovate due to the use of sandwich-panels. The first impression for a client will be grand thanks to a large curtain wall.

TO LEARN 06 The aim of this project is to explore unused or waiting-for-development spaces around the Boworn Mongkhon Temple. We strarted by analyzing the urban typology to learn how the community lives and then create some new activities to improve people’s lives without disturbing them. in this community was dense and unused, so we recreated merge some greens to provide a good view using moveable modular blocks.
