In the spirit of the holiday season, a donation has been made in your name to the United Way of Lackawanna and Wayne Counties’ Emergency Heating Fund. Inspired by the warmth of your friendship, this donation will help share the Gift of Warmth with our neighbors most in need. There is no doubt that this heating season will be very difficult for many families and seniors in our area who struggle each day just to get by. Happy Holidays The United Way’s Gift of Warmth is a direct and measurable way to help those who will endure a frigid winter. Every penny raised through the Gift of Warmth program is used to provide emergency fuel/utility assistance and emergency furnace repair. Last year, hundreds of individuals in our region received the Gift of Warmth. For each of these people, and the hundreds more who will benefit this year, the Gift of Warmth makes the difference to help ensure no one in our area suffers undue hardship because of the cold.
