UWCSEA is part of the UWC Movement
UWC South East Asia (UWCSEA) is a K–12 international school in Singapore with two campuses, offering a holistic, values-based education for children 4 to 18 years old. The College is part of the UWC global movement of 18 schools and colleges that make education a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future.
UWCSEA offers a unique Learning Programme
UWCSEA’s Dover and East Campuses in Singapore offer a mission-aligned concept-based curriculum that develops the skills and qualities that students need to be independent learners, embrace challenge and take responsibility for shaping a better world. From K1 through Grade 12, students participate in the five elements of the UWCSEA Learning Programme: Academics, Activities, Outdoor Education, Personal and Social Education, and Service. In Grade 11–12 students take the IB Diploma Programme.
UWCSEA’s community is intentionally diverse
We admit around 1,000 students each year across both campuses. Approximately 40% of families we admit are relocating to Singapore. With respect to nationality, we do not have quotas and consider all applications. If your child is a Singapore Citizen, please read the information on our website regarding the College’s strict priority categories.
School year and entry dates
August – June
K1–Grade 10 (4–14 years): Term 1 August (Day and Boarding) and Term 2 January (Day only)
Grade 11 (16–18 years): Term 1 August only
Age-Grade boundaries
K1 to Grade 8: placement is strictly according to age by 1 September of the year of entry. However, there may be some flexibility based on the individual student’s educational pathway. More information is available on our website.
Grade 9, 10, and 11: out-of-grade placements are considered on a case-by-case basis.
UWCSEA does not have a waitlist
Applications open on 1 September each year, for entry in
August the following year. This means that families moving to Singapore have the same opportunity for placement as those already in Singapore.
Applications for August entry (Grades K1–11 Day, Grades 8–11 Boarding) must be submitted in time for either the first or second application deadline. From August 2027 boarding will start in Grade 9 (14 years old).
Applications for January entry (Grades K1–10 Day only) may be submitted at any time while January applications are open, usually until July or early August prior to the January entry point.
Residency requirements
All Day students must reside with at least one parent who is also resident in Singapore and present for at least 90% of each term. Students applying to Grade 8 and above can apply to join as boarders. Please note that from August 2027 boarding enrollment will start in Grade 9.
Residential Boarding
We offer boarding at both East and Dover campuses. Onsite boarding facilities are home to students from Grade 8–12 (11–18 years old). From August 2027 boarding will be available from Grade 9 (14 years old) and up.

The UWCSEA Nominee Programme
The UWCSEA Nominee Programme (UNP) offers the opportunity to secure a place at UWCSEA, with a limited number of places available each year for prospective students who meet our entry criteria.
Inter-campus transfers
Please note that transfers between campuses are not available once a place has been accepted at one campus.
Each application is reviewed individually
Applicants are not just selected on the basis of academics. We look for students who are committed to our mission and values as we seek to build a learning environment in which our differences push our thinking and help us grow as individuals.
Application review processes are individualised
Sometimes we need to conduct tests or interviews to assess the application. This is predominantly for Middle and High School students that do not have English as their first language. We may also assess students who may have learning support needs. All High School and Boarding applicants are interviewed and High School applicants also participate in an interactive discussion forum.
UWCSEA has several language options
Several languages are offered during the curriculum timetable depending on grade level and campus. UWCSEA offers a highly-regarded Home Languages Programme that provides a way for students to maintain and develop literacy skills in a language spoken at home, but who do not study this language as part of the academic curriculum. More information is available on our website and in the Languages factsheet
We support English Language Learners (ELL) in every grade
At UWCSEA, we provide support so that all our students,
including those who need support with English language proficiency, can both access and be challenged by the UWCSEA learning programme. The approach, timing and intensity of English as an Additional Language (EAL) support varies depending on a student’s proficiency, age and other learning needs they may have. We assess student applications to ensure we are able to support each student appropriately.
Dover Campus plans to move to a new location in 2032
In 2032, the UWCSEA Dover community will relocate to a new purpose-built sustainable campus in Tengah— Singapore’s first forest town. The relocation will follow the expiry of the Dover campus land lease.
Buses
UWCSEA employs a full-time Transport Manager on each campus who partners closely with service provider Yellow Bus to provide door-to-door bus services covering most of Singapore.
Food
We work in close partnership with our food services provider to deliver the on campus food service. Campus canteens provide Western, Asian, Indian and vegetarian catering. East Campus is Halal-certified, while Dover Campus does not serve pork.
