Laura Chalmers, Swimming Laura, a third year Recreation student from Mississauga, Ontario, had a breakthrough meet this past weekend. On Friday Laura won the 100 free with a strong finish and came second in an even closer finish in the 200 free. On Saturday at the OUA sprint meet at Guelph (with 8 of the 14 swimming schools in attendance), Laura progressed through the 50 free preliminaries with a time of 29.57 to the semi finals with a time of 29.40 and a second place finish in the finals with a time of 29.24.

Scott, a fifth year Environmental/Business student from Waterloo, Ontario, led the Warriors to a seventh place team finish competing at the Queen's XC Open this past weekend. Scott placed first overall in the 10km event. Scott led the race from start to finish and hardly seemed to be pressed at all. He completed the course in 32:40, thirty-seven seconds ahead of the second place finisher.
