Nathan Murrin was chosen for the College of Liberal Arts and Education senior speaker for both his work in the classroom and for his contributions to the university. A native of McHenry, Illinois, Murrin is graduating with honors in secondary English education. He has been a member of the Chancellor’s List and Dean’s List throughout his academic career. Murrin has also excelled as the lead tour guide for the Office of Recruitment, where he trains, schedules, and manages a team of more than 20 student workers who showcase the university to prospective students. He has also been the president of the UW-Platteville Aspiring Educators and has won numerous university awards, including the Wisconsin Aspiring Educators Dedicated Student Leader, the Residence Hall Association Leadership Award, and the UW-Platteville Foundation Excellence in Leadership Award.
