Abe Matamoros (BSBA ’15) founded EllieGrid, a smart pill container that takes the guesswork out of sorting and scheduling multiple medications taken on a daily basis. The device includes software that healthcare providers and caregivers can monitor to ensure a patient takes medication as prescribed. EllieGrid was among 13 startup companies recognized during Tulsa’s Global Entrepreneurship Week in November 2015.
Valerie Gail Whitlatch (BMG ’15) and Thomas “Mason” Linscott (BS ’14) were married on Aug. 22, 2015 at the Silo Event Center at Redberry Farm in Tulsa. The couple resides in Moscow, Idaho, where Mason is pursuing his doctorate in computational biology at the University of Idaho. Mason was awarded a National Science Foundation Fellowship earlier this year which will assist him in his research of cave beetles.
