You must score a 70 or higher on the in-classroom UT Math Assessment by the initial drop deadline of Friday, Jan. 13 in order to in order to remain enrolled in Calculus I (M408C/K/N/R). A score of 78+ is recommended for M408C, and a score of 55+ is required for enrollment in Pre-Calculus M305G. To prepare for the UT Math Assessment, you are required to complete the Math Readiness Package (this pilot package is free of charge for Spring 2017 placement). This package contains an online warm-up assessment and learning modules to be completed before arriving at orientation. The UT Math Assessment will be offered on the following dates: •

Tuesday, Jan. 10, 10 a.m. in WEL 2.224

Thursday, Jan. 12, 10 a.m. in WEL 2.224

Friday, Jan. 13, 9 a.m. in WEL 2.224

Becoming a Certified Student Veteran at UT Austin 1. Visit the Department of Veterans Affairs or GI Bill websites for information about the Post/911 GI Bill and other educational benefits. Texas residents may qualify for additional state benefits. For more information, visit CollegeforAllTexans.com. 2. Contact Student Veteran Services, or visit their office to learn about various resources on campus, how to access your benefits and possibly receive credit for military education. 3. Attend the Student Veteran Pre-Orientation Program. Please bring all pertinent certification paperwork with you to the orientation session. Students MUST be in attendance in order for paperwork to be processed. Parents cannot submit paperwork for the student. 4. After registering for courses each semester, certify for your benefits. Certification for all veterans’ educational benefits, including the GI Bill, Hazlewood Exemption, and benefits for survivors or dependents is processed by the Office of the Registrar.
