Parent and Family Welcome Session Burdine Hall (BUR) 112 Whether students are newly admitted freshmen or transferring from another institution, this session will acclimate parents and families to the University and its many resources. The session will include Q&A with current parents and students, as well as an introduction to the benefits of joining the parents’ association.
8:45–10 a.m.
Welcome/Registration Information Meeting Burdine Hall (BUR) 106 This meeting will welcome you to UT Austin, provide details regarding your orientation, and highlight programs and services critical to your transition as a new student.
8 a.m.–5 p.m.
Obtain Your Student ID Card and Upgrade Your UT EID Peter T. Flawn Academic Center (FAC) First Floor Obtain your Student ID Card and upgrade your UT EID from the university ID Center. Acceptable government-issued photo IDs are listed on page 14.
10 a.m.–noon
College Meeting Representatives from your college will present an overview of the college, its degree programs, and specific course requirements. Academic advising and preadvising appointments will be scheduled at this time if required. Attendance is mandatory for all students who are enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts, College of Natural Sciences, School of Nursing, School of Undergraduate Studies, School of Social Work, and Butler School of Music.
