CLASS REGISTRATION CHECKLIST STEP 1
Sign up and take required placement tests.
STEP 2
Familiarize yourself with the Spring 2015 Course Schedule and the 2015–2016 Undergraduate Catalog by visiting the Registrar’s website at registrar.utexas.edu.
STEP 3
Attend the Spring Orientation Welcome/Registration Information Meeting at Burdine Hall on Monday, Jan.12, 2015, at 8:45 a.m.
STEP 4
View your Registration Information Sheet (RIS) at https://utdirect.utexas.edu/registrar/ ris.WBX. Your registration information sheet lists the dates and times you are scheduled to register, information regarding advising, and any bars preventing your registration.
STEP 5 Clear financial and nonfinancial bars, if any. To clear a financial bar, go to the What I Owe website at utexas.edu/business/accounting/sar and make the required payment. Nonfinancial bars must be cleared in the administrative department responsible for imposing the bar(s). STEP 6 Check the academic advising and major code section in the Spring 2015 Course Schedule (http://registrar.utexas.edu/schedules/152/advising) to determine if you are required to see an academic advisor. Your RIS will also inform you if you need to be advised. If academic advising is required for you, report to the College Meeting on Monday, Jan. 12, at 10 a.m. You will not be able to access the registration system until your advising has been completed and your advising bar has been cleared. STEP 7
(Freshman Students Only) Meet with an Orientation Advisor if you would like to be preadvised about undergraduate classes, college requirements, and other academic information. Preadvising is available on Monday, Jan. 12 from 1–5 p.m. in the Student Services Building (SSB) G1.310.
STEP 8
Make sure you have sent accceptable documention of your meningococcal (bacterial meningitis) vaccine to University Health Services (UHS). Visit healthyhorns.utexas.edu/ internationalstudents.html for more information.
STEP 9
From Jan. 13-16, 2015, register for classes online at registrar.utexas.edu/students/ registration during your scheduled access period.
STEP 10 Pay your tuition and fee bills by 5 p.m. Jan. 16, 2015, or your registration will be canceled. Pay online at utexas.edu/business/accounting/sar or in person at the Cashiers Office in MAI 8. Detailed information on payment options is available at utexas.edu/business/accounting/sar/pay.html.
STEP 11
If you must make changes to your class schedule, refer to the online add/drop instructions at utexas.edu/student/registrar/schedules. Add bills (payment for added classes) are NOT distributed and payment is due by the 12th class day.
