Heather Scruggs is in her first year as a member of The University of Tennessee at Martin women’s basketball staff as a graduate assistant. Scruggs’ responsibilities will include film exchange, travel arrangements, recruiting, academic monitoring and general day-to-day operations of the program as well as conditioning and working on the floor with the guards. Scruggs attended Lambuth University and was a member of the Lady Eagle’s NAIA National Championship team in 2007. Scruggs helped her Lambuth team qualify for the NAIA National Tournament three times and advance to the title game in 2007 and most recently in 2009. During her career at Lambuth, Scruggs also received several awards including the prestigious Eagle Award, twice being named to the NAIA Champions of Character Team in 2008 and 2009 along with also earning three consecutive NAIA Academic Awards from 2007-2009. She served as co-captain on the 2009 N squad along with assisting with summer basketball camps throughout career and s coaching a 14 and under AAU team. c Scruggs graduated with a BA in health and human performance in May 2009. Prior to her days at Lambuth, Scruggs attended high school at Gibson County P High School. While at Gibson County, Scruggs was a three-sport athlete playing H softball and running cross-country while also playing point guard for the Lady s Pioneers basketball team. P Scruggs, originally from Trenton, Tenn., is pursuing a master’s degree in special education, with aspirations to one day teach special education and coach. s
CONSTANCE JONES Student Manager Jones is in her second season as a student manager for the Skyhawk women’s basketball program, coming from University School of Jackson in Jackson, Tenn. In her role, Jones is responsible for recording game footage, providing on-court assistance during practice and at games along with managing the team’s equipment.
LYNNEISHA BLEDSOE Student Manager Bledsoe is in her second season as a student manager for the Skyhawk women’s basketball program, coming from Craigmont High School in Memphis, Tenn.
