“I chose the Memphis campus because the city is abundant in opportunity and promise, especially in the medical profession with the high quality and diverse medical facilities available to us as students. Learning on a campus with other health professions allows students to establish an open-minded outlook that proves beneficial to any medical team.”

“My interest in the Nashville campus first started when I learned about its small, cozy size, as well as the close relationships held between the student body and professors. Upon visiting the city I fell in love with the relaxed, friendly small town atmosphere coupled with the energetic feel and amenities that Nashville offers. The city is known for its cultural diversity and innovation in health care and technology providing great opportunities to learn about other avenues of pharmacy.”

“I was ready to experience the mountains, the outdoors, the collegetown, and the rich history that Knoxville has to offer. Knoxville is not too big, not too small, and feels like a place you can call home. Located right next to the UT Medical Center, you are put right in the center of the medical world which makes for an excellent learning experience.”

RESIDENCY PLACEMENT

CLASSES OF 2016-2019 Members of our student body have been selected based on academic achievement, leadership qualities, and dedication to the practice of pharmacy. They come from all walks of life, each with the potential and determination to utilize their unique strengths and perspectives to improve the health and quality of life of their patients and communities.

According to the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, in 2015 more UTHSC COP student pharmacists were placed in residencies than any other in-state college or school of pharmacy. For PGY1 residencies, UT was in the top 3 percent of all colleges in the nation for number of students who matched with residency programs. 2015 ASHP RESIDENCY PLACEMENT DATA
