Casey Reefer, U.S. Marine Veteran and Owner of Aqua Periit Restoration in Dallas, TX decided it was time to build his own door instead of trying to get into someone else's. After being passed over for promotions twice after receiving a masters degree in strategic management, Casey decided to pivot.
"I started the business in Dallas Texas in Jan 2021, just before Texas got hit with a massive freeze in February. My phone lines were ringing non-stop with people desperate for help.
During tornadoes in Oklahoma and flooding in Houston, Casey took time off from work and went to help as many as he could with his personal truck loaded with donated supplies.
Since, the operation has had steady progress including some strategic partnerships with roofing companies to increase the service footprint.
It felt very natural to want to help those in need. Being in infantry then going to white color jobs then back to blue collar work brought it full circle. I went from service to country to servicing clients during a time when they were vulnerable.
What sets me apart from others is I have told potential clients that what they thought was black mold was a common household mold and not dangerous and didn't charge them based on their fears.
When someone's home is being flooded due to a broken pipe or their child left the faucet running and it overflowed, Aqua Periit Restoration comes to the rescue providing full service restoration from water dry-out, mold remediation, home sanitization for viruses, demolition and build-back.
I would forego charging someone for a fear so that way, I can sleep at night or if I run into them at a grocery store, I know I did right. Semper Fidelis."
