The miraculous healings by the Prophet Joseph Smith when fever swept the bottomlands during the first year of settlement, the baptisms for the dead in the river, the majestic temple gradually taking form high on the bluffs above the town, all are reminders that Nauvoo was a religious ( J N E HAS NO DIFFICULTY
