Summary: Since its foundation, the prison at Guantanamo Bay has received scrutiny for allegations of torture and overall mistreatment of prisoners. But, few voices question how the detainees are released, and what happens to them after they are released from the prison. This paper will examine the prison's past through first-hand accounts of detainees and guards, in addition to present opinions and experiences of released prisoners.
