Ultimate is currently played by over 4,000 college students at 220 universities and colleges throughout the US and Canada. Over the last ten years the sport has experienced rapid growth in popularity and universities with strong Ultimate programs

College Ultimate is played by clubs supported by the individual schools with a national organization, the Ultimate Players Association (UPA), organizing a series of sectional and regional tournaments that lead to 16 teams from each division
