Hannam Village ACS Construction Complete The Army Community Service located at Hannam Village has re-opened! Clients may visit this location for information and referral services, lending closet, and limited family advocacy services. The office will be open Tuesdays and Fridays 0800-1700. The ACS building at Hannam had been closed for renovation from flooding damage during the monsoon season and water pipe damage during the winter months.

The Department of Public Works began construction earlier this year, completing the project in April. The renovated facility has two large classrooms, a meeting room, and a playroom for playgroup time that is hosted by New Parent Support on July 10, 17, and 24 from 1000 –1100.

The Relocation Program Manager will offer Korean Culture classes at this location in the near future once supplies and equipment arrive for the facility.

ACS currently has five staff members on their team of Master Resilience Trainers who instruct resilience training modules to family members and civilians. The benefit of Resilience Training is that participants will build strengthening skills which will enable them to focus and react to situations, resulting in positive outcomes. The strengthening skills learned will nurture and help build stronger healthy relationships. The next Resilience Training is scheduled during the week of July 24-27. This is an all-day course over the period of four days. Interested participants may inquire about signing up by contacting ACS at 738-7505.

The ACS Outreach Program is designed to provide a resource portal between all joint command service members and their Family members. Outreach aims to reach out to those who have greatest level of need, but are least likely to seek out and take advantage of services until they've reached a state of crisis. ACS Outreach conducts annual needs assessments to determine what programs are needed to support service members mission readiness and family members. Please respond to these assessments and help us to better serve you! You may request the presence of the ACS Outreach Service Program Coordinator at meetings or events to provide information about resources and services available through the Army Community Service programs. If you cannot come to us, we will come to you!

Because the Army Cares.

Army Community Service

The Unit Service Coordinator (USC) serves as the primary link between Army Community Service and military units and activities. The primary goal for the program is to provide support to commanders, first sergeants, and noncommissioned officers. Army Community Services is located in building 4106 on South Post. Stop by and let us know how we may assist you!

USC’s are knowledgeable about unit issues and concerns to connect units with the services needed. The USC is assigned to ensure coordination with military units and to help them schedule mandatory, annual requirements to be mission ready. Please contact the Outreach Services Program Coordinator for further information ~ 738-7123/7505.
