Freedom Cup to competitors representing six countries: A us tralia, England,Kazakhstan, Puerto Rico, Wales, and the United States. Participants came to the Washington D.C. area for a week of fun, friendship, and competition. The Freedom Cup was held at the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex from November 17-19. Competition took place in three age divisions: senior, junior, and age group. 2005
The USA contingent included a mixture of Senior National Team Members, Junior Olympic National Team Members and club representatives. This groups of athletes exhibited strong performances and finished the competition with a total of 19 medals, including eight gold.

In the senior age division, Mixed Pair, Michael Rodrigues and Clare Brunson continued their march towards the 2006 World Championships, winning gold medals in Balance Exercise, Dynamic Exercise, and All-Around. Finishing with three silver medals just behind their teammate was Mixed Pair, Andre Solodar and Xiau-Ling Wee. Men's Pair, Julian Amaro and Tyler Spray hit their routines to edge out their Kazakhstan competitors and claim the top spot in the Dynamic Exercise and A ll-a round. Julian and Tyler won silver in Balance Exercise.

Lukas Martincik and Jake Kanavel, a jwuor Men's Pair competing in their first season together, put in a solid performance and finished with a gold medal. The Women's Group of Nicole Summers, Melissa Summers, and Kari Rockhill finished with a strong combined exercise and claimed the silver medal. In the age group division, the Mixed Pair title was won by Ryan Ward and Kelianne Stankus. Teammates Ariel Ziegler and Alex Porter and Madeline Bones and Kyle Bloom finished in second and third respectively. In Women's Group, U.s. competitors Kayla Huesgen, Amber Kottwitz, and Ariel Walsh remained strong throughout the tough competition and defeated the English and Australians to claim the gold medal. The Women's Pair of Taylor Mosher and Sarah Longi were also consistent throughout the competition and finished with a silver medal.
