Men's team members Keith Douglas, Josh Vance and Casey Finley h ad a combined score of 95.50 in the team final, while the women's team of Drew Rentfro, Shelley Klochan and Whitney Kusak scored 93.40. Jamar Young and Megan Dacy are the fourth members of the teams. Shelley Klochan nabbed a bronze in women's double mini for the only USA individual medal in the 2003 World Championships. Her score of 61.60 was just enough to place her ahead of Galina Gontcharenko of Russia who finished fourth at 61.50. In other individual finals, Klochan's teammate in double mini, Drew Rentfro, had a costly error on her second pass and finished in sixth place (51.80) . Keith Douglas finished seventh in men's double mini (62.60) . In men's tumbling, the U.S. experienced trouble early in the event when Chris Ford sustained a torn ACL while landing a pass in a training session and was unable to compete. Stepping into the position was alternate Daniel Walker. The USA narrowly missed a bronze medal when they tied for third with Russia in the team final, but lost the tie-breaker and finished in fourth place. Jamar Young, Casey Finley and Walker scored a combined 110.70 in the final. In third place following prelims, Young qualified for individual finals and finished sixth with a score of 68.80. Ryan Weston and David Ford finished fifth in men's synchronized trampoline, scoring 47.60 in finals. In women's tumbling, Krista Mahoney placed 12th, scoring 65.10, while Leanne Seitzinger finished 13th with a score of 64.80. Trampolinist Chris Estrada was named captain of the 2003 World Championships team by his teammates. Estrada is a first-time member of the World Championships Team!
