merican Dancer represents competitive and social dancers of all ages. The largest group being adults over the age of 55 who have more time and income to invest in their hobbies. The readers representing the next largest group are adults ages 36-55 who are active in family, work and social events. Our fastest growing readership are younger single
adults ages 19-35.

American Dancer circulates six times a year to the homes of over 22,000 USA Dance members, as well as ballroom dance
studios, schools, and national and international organizers of DanceSport competitions bringing readership to around 48,000. As shown in the map below, readers are nationwide, with large populations in the central and eastern states.
The mission of USA Dance stands to support competitive and social dancers to further the art of Ballroom dance and
facilitate DanceSport in the Olympic games. This happens through increased involvement in dancing and quality local instruction. With 167 chapters nationwide, social dance rising in popularity, increased media coverage and the number of competitions doubling in 2005, the mission is succeeding and American Dancer provides the voice.

Line of Dance The Line of Dance leads the direction ballroom dance is going. Likewise, this section connects members to the organization through the message from the president, announcements, leadership recognition, news and organizational advertisements. Dance Floor The Dance Floor section provides space for the social dancers. Through features on specific chapters and chapter news, members are recognized in their involvement. Other features of new dance steps, technique, health and fitness, product reviews and travel tips keep them excited and improving in their dancing. On Beat On Beat covers all of the current events, media coverage, as well as current television programs.

DanceSport DanceSport recognizes, promotes and covers all competitions and competitors. Couples receive the spotlight for their achievements, as well a place to communicate with other competitors and professionals who have dedicated their lives to the advancement of the art and sport. Professional products and services including shoes, costumes, coaching, judging, teaching and managing will be regularly addressed- improving the sport one step at a time. InStep The InStep section extends Dance Floor to collegiate clubs and keeps dancers up to beat with feature universities. Features include how to increase membership, host events, get involved in competitions, coverage of college competitions and advice to keep these energetic dancers progressing.
