USA Baseball: Prior to the WBSC Baseball Americas Qualifier, Carter last donned the red, white, and blue as a member of the 2010 Professional Team at the Pan American Games Qualifying Tournament. The Decatur, Georgia, native allowed just one hit and no runs in four innings of work during the event, while picking up two strikeouts and a save in four appearances.

2021 Qualifier: Dickson posted a 2.70 ERA in two relief appearances to help Team USA secure an Olympic berth at the WBSC Baseball Americas Qualifier (AOQ). He worked two perfect innings in Team USA’s 7-1 victory over Nicaragua to open the AOQ, part of a shutdown effort by a bullpen that combined for 4.0 hitless innings. Dickson finished off the event with an inning-and-athird of solid relief in the U.S.’s 4-2 win over Venezuela. General: Signed by the St. Louis Cardinals as an undrafted free agent after a collegiate career at Tusculum College, Brandon Dickson made his MLB Debut in 2011 with the Cardinals. In 2013, Dickson began playing in the Nippon Profession Baseball league in Japan, where he remained until 2019. MLB: In eight Major League appearances, all with the Cardinals in the 2011 and 2012 season, Dickson holds a 4.91 ERA with 13 strikeouts in 14.2 innings pitched. In 77 appearances and 75 starts for Memphis, he recorded a 24-28 record with a 3.59 ERA and 365 strikeouts in 465.2 innings pitched. Across all levels of the minors, Dickson has a 3.73 ERA with 663 strikeouts in 913.1 innings pitched. His efforts were good enough to earn a spot on the All-World Team for the tournament.
