Ellen (Fagone) Huntley ’70 is happily enjoying her new, third grandchild: a baby girl, Nevaeh, born on her wedding anniversary. She joins her two older brothers who adore her. Lorraine (Noel) Manninen ’80 writes, “My son, Thomas A. Manninen, graduated with his Juris Doctor degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota on June 7, 2021. We are so proud of him!” Jeanie (Zmijewski) Taddeo ’89 writes, “I am excited to announce I reached the milestone of being 13 1/2 years cancer FREE! I was diagnosed when I was 16 weeks pregnant with my twins! The twins, in utero, and I both underwent 2 surgeries and 4 very strong chemotherapy treatments…all together! My twins, Giavanna and Gillian, were born at 25 weeks weighing in at 2 and 3 pounds but totally healthy!! They just turned 13 years old! One week after their birth, I was back at the hospital of the University of Pennsylvania receiving 8 more chemo treatments, 35 rounds of radiation, and finally a double mastectomy! We are all so happy to be alive and healthy today through the Lord and the intercession of St. Gianna!” Meghan (Altman) Stoll ’97 and her husband Tim welcomed their twins Waverly and Keating in April, 2021. Rachel (Linso) Metcalf ’06 writes, “The Metcalf family welcomed Isaac John Walter, born on July 17, 2021 at South Shore Hospital. Isaac joins brother Elliott (25 months) at home in Weymouth.” Diana Gulew ’06 writes, “Sarah Coppinger Brody ’06, daughter of Carrie (Mastrodicasa) Coppinger ’79, married John Brody on July 24, 2021. She is pictured with her ’06 classmates. Kristina (Clark) Williams ’06 welcomed Charles Kenneth (Charlie) into the world on June 22, 2021. He joins big sister Kathryn, who is two! Carolyn (Arnish) Elaimy ’08 married Ameer Elaimy on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Oceanview of Nahant. In attendance were Julianne O’Connor ’08, Bridget Bussell-Brujic ’08, and Marissa Schneider ’15. Siena Forest ’08 and Charlotte Harrison ’08 attended the ceremony virtually. In addition, Siena Forest of the Minnesota Opera and OOPSMN performed in a custom pre-recorded song that was played at the ceremony per request of the bride. The song performed was Make Our Garden Grow from the operetta Candide. Forest was accompanied by pianist Carson Rose Schneider and tenor Jack Swanson.

Alumnae networking committee seeks to strengthen professional networks

A newly formed Alumnae Networking Committee spearheaded by Rosie Henry ’10 along with committee members Lauren Crispi ’14, Julie Griffin Carty ’05, Mary Joseph ’12, Shannon Lydon ’12, and Nicole Vermillion ’05, is working on ways to increase professional networking opportunities among Ursuline-Dedham alumnae. Their first event was a virtual speed networking evening held on June 15. Attendees had a chance to hear from Danielle St. Germain-Gordon ’87, Chief Development Officer and Interim Chief Marketing Officer at San Francisco Ballet, and to expand their professional networks.
