The awardees were announced by the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Philippines, together with TOYM Foundation and the Gerry Roxas Foundation in a press conference held last December 12 at L’Opera Ristorante, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, concluding the search for the 2012 Outstanding Young Men. The UP faculty awardees were Ivan Anthony S. Henares (AB 2002; MBA 2006; DipURP 2008) of UP Diliman-Asian Institute of Tourism; Dr. Waren N. Baticados (DVM 1996 - UPLB Vet Med) of the UP Los Baños College of Veterinary Medicine; and Abelardo Apollo I. David, Jr. (BSOT 1998) of the UPManila College of Allied Medical Professions.
