Please be careful while you execute each of the steps mentioned above. In case, your Recovery key are lost, you will not be able to restore your wallet on a different computer, or if your current Metamask sessions gets logged out. Subsequently you will not be able to access any assets stored in it.

You are the only one who has control over your assets. In case the Recovery key is lost, you will not be able to restore the access to your wallet under any circumstances. This is one of the inherent properties of Ethereum blockchain, that no one, including the creators of the system, can gain control over your assets without having a private key from your wallet.

If you have a Recovery key, you can use it to reset the password, but it does not work the other way around.

How to purchase Ethereum?

Purchase Ethereum on a platform like Coinbase and transfer to your MetaMask wallet following these instructions.

You can also easily buy Ethereum with a debit card or Apple Pay directly within MetaMask by clicking “Add funds” through a service called “Wyre”, more info here.

You can request funds from a friend by sending them a payment request showing your QR code in person or by sharing your public address.

PAY ATTENTION: a lot of exchange platforms like Coinbase work with a weekly limit of $1000 for beginning users.

PAY ATTENTION: never send an NFT to a wallet address from an exchange service, they are usually not compatible with NFTs and you could lose access to your NFT. What is OpenSea and how do I use it?

OpenSea is the first (and largest) marketplace for non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

How to create an OpenSea account?

Create an OpenSea account with the following instructions.

How can I see my collected NFTs? Even though your NFTs are stored in your MetaMask wallet, MetaMask is meant for transactions and not to view your NFTs. You can see your NFTs when typing in your “public key” in the search box on OpenSea or when you consult your account.

How to sell my NFT? Want to sell your NFT, list it on OpenSea. For what price should I sell my NFT? It is wise to research the recently sold NFTs from the series and not just accept any offer.

PAY ATTENTION: when you sell an NFT, keep in mind that part of your revenue is lost to additional costs for the platform, resell rights, gas fees etc. (around 20%)
