Hi! My name is Beary. My skin got a cut on it, so my grownup brought me to the hospital.

My doctor decided I needed sutures to help my cut get better. Sutures are string bandaids!

First, my nurse gave me a little medicine to drink. I didn't like the taste, but it didn't last long. It helped me feel calm and relaxed.

My doctor put some cold lotion on my cut. This helped me not feel anything ouchie.

My doctor covered the lotion with a soft cotton ball and bandaid.

Then I got to rest for a little while. When my doctor came back, they wiped the lotion off my skin with a dry cloth.

Next, my doctor cleaned my cut with a lot of water to make sure there weren't any germs. It felt cold.

Then they put blue sheets around my cut.

The doctor used silver tools to give me my string bandaids. I could feel them touching my skin a little, but it didn't hurt.
My doctor said that I will come back another time to get the string bandaids taken off.

I felt a little scared to get sutures, but my grownup gave me a big hug and helped me to take big breaths.
My nurse told me that I did a great job staying as still as a statue!
