Hi! My name is Beary. My skin got a cut on it, so my grownup brought me to the hospital.
My doctor decided I needed staples to help my cut get better. Staples are metal bandaids!
First, my nurse gave me a little medicine to drink. It tasted yucky, but then the taste went away. It helped me feel calm and relaxed.
My doctor put some cold lotion on my cut. This helped me not feel anything ouchie.
My doctor covered the lotion with a soft cotton ball and bandaid.
Then I got to rest for a little while. When my doctor came back, they wiped the lotion off my skin with a dry cloth.
Next, my doctor cleaned my cut with a lot of water to make sure there weren't any germs. It felt cold.
The doctor used a tool to give me my metal bandaids. The tool made a loud click. I could feel them touching my skin a little, but it didn't hurt.
My doctor said that I will come back another time to get the metal bandaids taken off.
I felt a little scared to get staples, but my grownup gave me a big hug and helped me to take big breaths. My nurse told me that I did a great job staying as still as a statue!
