LETTER FROM THE EDITOR Over the last few years, I have started appreciating more and more the arrival of fall and winter and all the great fashion collections that come along with the change of season. I sometimes wonder why I was so resistant to this seasonal change. I think my biggest hesitation was not knowing the proper styling of layers, boots, sweaters, coats and all the great pieces that come with the season. It’s taken a few years of building my closet and some trial and error, but I think I’ve finally nailed the art of “cold weather dressing.” This issue of “Gorgeous” will be your style guide through all things warm, fuzzy, sleek and stylish. Cold weather dressing doesn’t have to mean bulky sweaters or unattractive, thick-soled winter boots. But to be a bit more fashionable, sometimes you do have to be a little less practical! A stunning winter white parka with a fur-trimmed hood from Rudsak, a la front cover, is a key investment piece: 1. It’s on trend and will never go off trend, 2. It will last you over the long haul, so invest well, 3. It will keep you warm whether you’re playing outdoors with the kids, or heading out to see a movie
with your date.
