Bringing together the choirs of UP Manila
About the 1st UP Manila Choral Festival The 1st UP Manila Choral Festival is fifth in a series of events under Argentum, the year-long 25th anniversary celebration of the University of the Philippines Manila Chorale. True to its mission as UP Manila's Voice to the World, the UP Manila Chorale aims to form ONE voice for UP Manila by bringing together diverse college choirs of the campus in one event. The 1st UPMCF will consists of workshops, concerts, and fellowship activities with the goal of uniting and empowering choirs and choral music enthusiasts in the country's premier institution for the health sciences.

workshops Each choir will have a 45 minute one-on-one workshop with one of the Philippines’ leading choral directors. Choirs will also get to witness the directors work with fellow UP Manila choirs.
concerts
Each choir will have a 10 minute performance during the festival grand concert. All participants will join the festival choir in singing three choral works by renowned choral composers and arrangers from the Philippines. The festival choir will be conducted by a renowned figure in the FIlipino choral scene.
The festival choir will have a special performance in the UP Manila Lantern Parade 2017.
fun A dinner party will be hosted by the UPMCF for all participants.
Notes: Choirs are encouraged to sing a Christmas or Filipino work for their spot performance. Scores for the festival choir performance will be provided by the UP Manila Chorale and will solely be used for the 1st UP Manila Choral Festival and associated events.
