POEM:
IF THEY COULD LISTEN If parents can stop comparing If they would support our dreams If they would advice us Without judging Without choosing for us Dreams are killed by them With thoughts filled with evil spirits If they could listen to us Hear our thoughts Without denying what our forefathers Gave an left for us Evil thoughts roaming around Those weapons we see as happiness That blood we take out in our bodies Using that razor blade to cut our souls Maybe feeling more pain will help If tears flow and blood is taken out Minds filled with suicidal thoughts Maybe if they are given a chance We would never decide to take our lives Nor pull the trigger with bullets To ease the pain All they need is your love Be a parent not a stranger Learn to listen rather than comparing
