REPORTING & DESIGN BY GREG HAESSNER
“[Harsimran Dhaliwal (10) and I] wanted to create a really popping background and we wanted to make it really colorful just to represent diversity and make it about global issues. So, we were using colors to represent different people, places and all of the diversity around them and when blending them together to show how people can work together to overcome issues in society.”
—Ishita Patel (10)
“‘Howl’s Moving Castle’ is one of my favorite films. I just love Studio Ghibli films in general but this one and ‘Spirited Away’ is my favorite. So, since that one was also an anime choosing different [images] from other anime, helped make it look more cohesive.”
—Julia Dinh (11)
