Willard and Pat Walker Learning Disabilities Endowed Scholarship William Randolph Hearst Scholarship
Established in 1991 by Northwest Arkansas philanthropists Willard and Pat Walker, long-time supporters of Ozarks. This scholarship is for students using services of the JLC.

Albert Looper Pre-Medical Sciences Scholarship Arch Gould Scholarship
In memory of Albert L. Looper, a 1939 graduate. Awarded to a student who plans to pursue a career in medicine.
Established on Sept. 8, 1994, through the estate of Arch Gould. To assist students majoring in biology, chemistry, physics, or environmental sciences.

John W. Talley Memorial Endowed Scholarship Julia Anne Hicks Scholarship
Established by alumna Callie (Harmon) Daniels ’89 and her husband, Kurtis, in 2015 to encourage students who are majoring in mathematics or sciences. Preference given to students from Arkansas or surrounding states.
Established in 1994 by longtime Board of Trustee member Dr. Stanley and Mrs. Anna Applegate from their Charitable Remainder Trust. Awarded to students whose primary interests and career plans include medicine or a closely related field. This science award was established through a gift from Dr. J. Clyde Swartzwelder in 1987. The scholarship was named in memory of his wife, Tina, who was a 1944 graduate of Ozarks. Dr. Swartzwelder was a professor of medical parasitology at Louisiana State University. Awarded to a student in science.
The award was established in 1976 by Dr. Alvin C. Broyles and the Class of 1941 to honor Dr. Irving T. Beach, a professor of chemistry and chairman of the Chemistry Department at Ozarks from 1939-1960. Given to an outstanding junior science major. Established in 2005 by Sarah C. Talley in memory of her late husband, John W. Talley ’43. Preference given to students with 30 or more credit hours and pursuing science or mathematics. Established in 2012 by Virginia Hicks in memory of her sister, Julia Anne Hicks. Preference given to students who plan to major in mathematics.
Morris Wayne Pearson (Col.) Scholarship
Ruby Steuart Reynolds Endowed Scholarship
Established in January 2018 by Morris Pearson ’53. Morris received his degree in mathematics and physics and went on to serve as an engineer in the United State Air Force from 1953-1976. This scholarship is awarded to a mathematics major who has demonstrated financial need and resides in Johnson County. Established in 2004 by Dr. Kenneth and Janette Stewart to honor Dr. Ruby Steuart Reynolds. Preference given to biology students with 30 or more credit hours and GPA over 2.5.
