2021 FAMILY BUSINESS SUMMIT
THRIVING ACROSS Cindy Collier (Mister “P” Express) GENERATIONS by Jocelyn Deamer
The annual UofL Family Business Center Summit, presented by Axiom Financial Strategies Group, celebrated legacy family businesses across the Kentuckiana region.
The theme for the 2021 Summit, Thriving Across Generations, embodied the essence of the Center’s mission to help family businesses prosper. The event brought together family members and employees from more than 30 local family businesses.
The keynote speaker, Joe Astrachan, PhD, spoke about essential measures and decision-making processes that contribute to multi-generational success.
Representatives from local family businesses, Huber’s Orchard Winery & Vineyards, Angel’s Envy, and Brown-Forman, participated in a panel discussion, moderated by Isabel C. Botero, PhD. They addressed their experiences cultivating positive family dynamics across generations involved in their businesses.
The event concluded with a cocktail hour where attendees networked and celebrated the positive contributions of the family business community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
